I have over 30 years experience with photography, I bought my first camera, a Lubitel 166B 6x6 TLR, as a young boy with my Grandfather in the late seventies. Whilst the technology may have changed dramatically since then some things remain the same; my Grandfather has recently lent a spare digital camera to my six year old son !
For most of those years I have been a keen amateur, rarely leaving the house without a camera. Around ten years ago I started working as a video cameraman and production assistant for a 'big screen' events company. I then went on to set up my freelance property photography business which I have been building on since it's launch in 2003
With the arrival of a young family came the opportunity to photograph the children at the local Nursery. Having spent a long time photographing inanimate spaces it has been refreshing to discover the satisfaction that comes from of photographing portraits that are treasured by famillies.
So for 2011 I will be undertaking more portrait work, offering informal portrait sessions, either at your home or at a park, on the beach, wherever your familly is comfortable.
Prices
- Portrait sessions: £95
A one hour photosession at a location of your choice, includes one 10x8 and two 7x5 prints
plus a CD with all of the selected photos at a size suitable for web use.

Commercial prices
For commercial work pricing is based on both the work involved in creating the photographs and a licencing fee dependant on the usage requirements for the images. The creative fee would depend on the time involved to set up and shoot the commision plus any expenses incurred for addional hire and travel costs.
As a guide, my base rates would be £450/day, £275/half day for the creative fee, with additional post-processing at £45/hour. For small to medium sized businesses this would include perpetual web usage rights. Further licence fees would be calculated dependant on your specific usage requirements.
